Rolling Homes Campervan Conversions
Based in Shropshire, Rolling Homes have taken a different direction from nearly all other camper conversion companies out there. This difference being the materials they use to create their VW campervan furniture. Whilst most use laminated lightweight plywood, Rolling homes use solid oak wood, yet still maintain their furniture is as light. Similar to JOBL and Hillside Leisure they too specify the high quality SCA roof and RIB Bed in their conversions.
Each VW camper interior is hand built and finished providing a high quality, very natural and warm feel to their conversions. Rolling Homes are another convertor that have subjected their campers to VCA type approval and are also NCC approved ensuring quality of build. They also use eco friendly sheep’s wool insulation and try to source as many materials as possible locally.
Rolling Homes models
With camper conversions available on VW, Ford and Mercedes platforms it is again the VW based campervans that we will be focussing on. They currently have six in their range; the Columbus (standard and S models), Livingstone, Shackleton, Classic, Weekender and Expedition. As the later three are more niche, we are more likely to have either the Columbus, Shackleton or Livingston in stock.

Rolling Homes Columbus
The Columbus conversion is Rolling Homes’ most popular model. Available in standard or S form, they share a lot of similarities, although the furniture in the S model is slightly different providing a longer worktop and extra storage drawer. Both are available as pop-tops only, feature the excellent SCA roof which is designed for adults and blown air heating as standard.
Rolling Homes Shackleton
The Shackleton strays a little from Rolling Homes core qualities of using real oak furniture in that it uses the more widely used lightweight plywood board. We believe this is due to it being available in a wide range of colours and finishes and so allows Rolling Homes to offer more customer choice. Still well built and specified, with heating as standard the Shackleton offers a more modern interior.
Rolling Homes Livingstone
With a central lounge and rear galley kitchen, the Rolling homes Livingstone offers a different option to the traditional VW camper layout. Once again, the handmade oak furniture provides a warm and comfortable feel to the conversion, with the four central seats quickly converting to two single beds. In a twist to most conversions of this layout, the Livingstone can be ordered with either a full size cassette toilet or a smaller porta potti and more storage.
